Dana Baiu received a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Bucharest, Romania, after graduate training in the Center of Immunology of the Romanian Academy (Romania) and Weizmann Institute (Israel), and through a collaborative EEC Copernicus project at Utrecht University (The Netherlands). Her graduate and postgraduate research focused on antigen presentation in the context of vaccination, autoimmune disease and transplantation. In addition to research, Dana taught for over 20 years undergraduate and graduate level immunology as a lecturer in the Universities of Bucharest and Wisconsin-Madison.
